His Story

Homegrown on
Long Island

Dr. Matt Miller grew up in East Setauket and attended Ward Melville High School. He went on to Boston College before earning his dental degree at NYU College of Dentistry, where he graduated in the top 5% of his class and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon honor society. He completed a General Practice Residency at Stony Brook University, then returned to NYU for three additional years of specialty training in orthodontics.

Today, Dr. Miller is one of only a third of practicing orthodontists in the country who is board certified by the American Board of Orthodontics. He serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor at Stony Brook University School of Dental Medicine, dedicating time each week to training the next generation of orthodontists. He has multiple published research papers on the prevention of white spots in orthodontic treatment. When he's not in the office or the classroom, he's spending time on Long Island with his wife and son Matteo, playing tennis, catching live music, or checking out car shows.

Absolutely! A growing number of patients at Long Island Braces are adults. Dr. Miller offers discreet options like Invisalign and ceramic braces that fit around your work schedule and lifestyle.

What is Dr. Miller's approach to treatment planning?
