Good to Know

Questions? We've got answers

The things parents and patients ask us most, from cost and insurance to the right age to start.

Still have a question?

Give us a call at (631) 744-8400, we're always happy to help.

What age should my child first see an orthodontist?

The American Association of Orthodontists recommends an initial screening by age 7. That doesn't mean treatment starts that early, but it lets Dr. Miller catch any developing issues and plan ahead. Early evaluations are always complimentary.

How much do braces cost?

Every case is different, so cost depends on the type of treatment and how long it takes. We offer flexible, interest-free payment plans and work with most insurance providers. Your free consultation includes a full cost breakdown with no surprises.

Invisalign or braces, which is right for me?

It depends on your specific case. Invisalign works great for mild to moderate alignment issues and is popular with adults and teens who want a discreet option. Braces, including our LightForce 3D-printed brackets, are ideal for more complex corrections. Dr. Miller will walk you through the pros and cons of each at your consultation.

Is it too late for me to get braces as an adult?

Not at all! More adults are straightening their teeth now than ever before. Whether you missed out on treatment as a kid or your teeth have shifted over time, there are comfortable, discreet options designed specifically for adult patients.

How long does treatment usually take?

Most patients are in treatment for 12 to 24 months depending on the complexity. LightForce 3D-printed braces can reduce that time by up to 40%. Dr. Miller will give you a realistic timeline during your consultation so you know what to expect from day one.

Do you accept insurance?

Yes, we work with most major orthodontic insurance plans and handle the paperwork for you. For patients without insurance, we offer flexible, interest-free monthly payment options to make treatment affordable. We'll go over everything at your free consultation so there are no surprises.
